Graduating from The Ohio State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1980, Dr. Craig Mohnacky’s passion is developing lasting relationships with his clients by partnering with them so each and every client can become the best possible care-giver for their pets. Dr Mohnacky’s enthusiasm for his profession stems from the gratification he receives from these client/pet partnerships, enabling him to provide the best care possible for your beloved pets. This human-animal bond ultimately defines Dr Mohnacky and is the reason he has enjoyed such an esteemed career in veterinary medicine.

Dr Mohnacky’s current role of mentoring young doctors and staff allows Mohnacky Animal Hospitals to pursue the above vision on a larger scale. Mohnacky Animal Hospitals is always looking for ways to give back to the community as exemplified by our work with humane organizations and animal help agencies.

Originally from Parma,Ohio, Dr Mohnacky moved to California after graduating from veterinary school and started his first veterinary practice in 1981, Village Square Animal Hospital, in Encinitas. He moved to Carlsbad in 1987 and opened Mohnacky Animal Hospital of Oceanside in August of that year. In 1997, Dr. Mohnacky acquired the Carlsbad location near the Plaza Camino Real Shopping Center, then added our Escondido location in 2002 and finally Mohnacky Animal Hospital of Vista in 2003.

Dr. Mohnacky and his wife, Rose, have two dogs: a ten-year-old Bichon named Ruby, and Pebbles, a one-year-old Morkie who provides the comic relief in the family. The Mohnacky family recently lost their precious Crystal, who served the family faithfully for sixteen years. The Mohnacky family enjoys participating in water sports with their two sons which includes wakeboarding and water skiing. Dr. Mohnacky also coached both sons in baseball and was a past president of the Carlsbad Youth Baseball Program. He is also a wine enthusiast and has participated in half marathons while enjoying golf, snowboarding, wakeboarding, and water skiing in his leisure time.

As President & CEO, Dr. Mohnacky is a visionary and through his leadership, Mohnacky Animal Hospitals continues to be a resource to clients and the local community. Through innovations involving pet health care plans, free vaccines, community involvement, staff development, training systems, and leadership development, his motto has always been to “put your best foot forward and always do your unconditional best and you shall be rewarded with the honor of serving your clients and their loved pets”.

Connie Trinko is a highly valued employee of Mohnacky Animal Hospitals (MAH) having been with the Company for over 18 years. Connie came to MAH with very unique talents and skills which were recognized by Mohnacky Animal Hospitals almost immediately. Her inquiring mind has always lead to creative solutions within her workplace. Her concise nature has made her excel in corporate accounts receivable and payable, including duties to oversee accurate hospital record keeping, accuracy of sales transactions and accounting procedures, managing hospital inventory, plus keeping safety standards within compliance to OSHA regulations.

A very important duty that Connie takes utmost care with is the establishment and management of the controlled drug inventory. Connie is a master at detail work and strives to keep all paperwork within governmental guidelines.

She is very Customer Service oriented since she started with the Company as a Customer Service Representative greeting every client and making sure their needs were met. Connie works tirelessly to assist hospitals in efficiencies, productivity and overall results within the area of Customer Service.

Connie’s problem solving ability has fostered her being the first point of contact when needs arise with computer software systems, problems with machinery whether it be lab machinery or front desk credit card/check machines, etc.

Connie Trinko has developed herself as a mainstay of the Company and is willing to give her full allegiance to the needs of Mohnacky Animal Hospitals – no matter how long it might take, no matter the degree of difficulty and does what it takes to get the job done. Task completion is her continuous goal.

Connie is married to her high school sweetheart and they have a grown son. The family dotes on their beloved “L.C.” who is a King Charles/Fox Terrier mix that demands lots of attention.

Mary E. Pool is originally from Texas. She graduated from Texas A&I University (now part of Texas A&M) for her undergraduate studies and graduate studies majoring in Biology with minors in Psychology and Education. She also taught at Texas A&I University through a Teaching Fellowship while attending Graduate School. In 1993, she received her Certification in Human Resource Management from UCSD, San Diego, CA.

She is an experienced professional whose major strengths include the ability to manage several projects simultaneously, work under pressure, and meet deadlines. Mary is a dependable, conscientious professional who works hard, solves tough problems and strives to keep the focus on continual process improvements.

She is experienced in the full scope of Administrative and Human Resource disciplines including processing of correspondence/reports, data entry and spreadsheet analysis in tracking information, performed general clerical support, payroll processing and interacted professionally with employees and other departmental personnel. Specific to the Human Resources function, duties have included the administration of benefits using both manual and electronic means, complete recruitment/hiring process, employee orientation, Worker’s Compensation, Leave processing (including FMLA), COBRA administration, employee relations and maintenance of employee records.

Mary is married and has two grown children, plus three grandchildren.
